Summerland Christian College celebrated excellence recently when quite a number of our Year 3 and Year 5 students were presented with special NAPLAN Academic Achievement and Improvement Awards.


Deservedly so, certificates were awarded to students who achieved results that sat within the top band in any of the domains – Reading, Writing, Spelling and Grammar, Numeracy, Algebra and Patterns and Space and Geometry. These results placed our primary students significantly above the nation in all areas. What fantastic results for our diligent and effective thinkers!

Even more exciting than accomplished performance is the victory of amazing improvement. The whole of Infants and Primary school celebrated our Year 3 and 5 students whose results displayed three years of growth (or more in some cases) within a period of two years. All staff were delighted in these praiseworthy results that deserve recognition.

Congratulations to our Primary NAPLAN success stories for 2016. “Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable; if anything is excellent or praiseworthy think about such things!”
