Dear Parents and Caregivers,

We trust that you and your family have had a safe and happy holiday break.

As you may already be aware, NSW Health has put in place a stay-at-home order for the Lismore Local Government Area until 11 October 2021, due to an increased COVID-19 public health risk. During this lockdown period the College will be operating under 'Level 4 Restrictions'.

NSW Health have directed that, 'Parents and carers must keep children – across primary and secondary school – at home unless they need to be at school.' As such, online learning will commence tomorrow and attendance at school will be limited to children of essential workers during this first week of term.

The school canteen will not be operational under 'Level 4 Restrictions' and please be reminded that any students and staff that have any cold or flu like symptoms, no matter how mild, are to stay home, seek medical advice and get tested for COVID-19.

Teachers will be in touch with parents and students to provide more clarity around what the few days of online learning will look like. Chromebooks will be made available to families if needed and can be booked through the Front Office.

As always, thank you for your patience and flexibility as we adapt to these ongoing changes. We ask all families to stay informed of the latest health advice and to be proactive in protecting ourselves and the greater community against the risk of illness. The latest NSW Health advice and more information regarding LGA restrictions can be found at https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/rules/affected-regions.

Yours faithfully,

Lisa Roach
Acting Principal
