As of 14 August 2021

All NSW schools are operating under Level 4

Dear Parents, Caregivers and Families,

As a result of the latest advice issued by NSW Health the Byron Shire, Richmond Valley, Lismore and Ballina Shire Local Government Areas, will be subject to the NSW Statewide 'Stay at Home Order' effective until 12:01am on Sunday 22 August.

NSW Health have directed that, 'Parents and carers must keep children – across primary and secondary school – at home unless they need to be at school.' As such, attendance at school will continue to be limited to children of essential workers. All students will be continuing their learning online. That is, students at school will also be completing the online work that their class/subject teachers are delivering to their class.

For more information about the online learning delivery and what is expected each day, please visit the College website and select the age group that applies, either Primary or Secondary. Trindy families will receive optional at home activities, for more information please contact Mrs Gray (This email address is being protected from spambots. More information will be issued to families of HSC students shortly on their Trial exams. We continue to hold our HSC students in our prayers as they navigate these changes.

It is our heart that every student, parent and carer continues to be connected and supported during this time of isolation. We understand that online learning sometimes brings challenges and disruption, but also joy, insights and opportunities as we share this time with our families. Please stay in contact with your class teacher and feel free to email them with questions or sharing celebrations and precious moments with them. The College has a wellbeing email contact to support and direct you as needed. Please feel free to contact us (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.).

Thank you for your continued patience and ongoing cooperation as we work together to support each other during this extended lockdown. We look forward to being face-to-face once again in the near future. The SCC community continues to pray for every student and their family, that this time at home will be productive, safe and happy.

Blessings to all,

Lisa Roach
Acting Principal
