1:1 Digital Device Program (Years 5 - 8)

 

The 1:1 Digital Device Program is designed to enable students with the benefits of developmentally appropriate technology for learning. Digital Devices have proven to be highly valuable tools for enabling flexibility and collaboration for learning, as well as growing healthy digital citizenship values in students.

All students from Year 5 to Year 8 will be provided with a secure, portable Lenevo 14e Chromebook device. This device can be used both at school and at home, and will be purchased by families through the ‘Digital Device Levy’. In addition to the device, students are required to source personal headphones. It is also advised that a suitable case or cover should be purchased to protect the device.

We recognise that students from Years 9 -12 require flexible, technological options to suit the learning needs of each individual. Families can choose a suitable device from the specification list below, which allows for affordable and varied options for each student's needs. Families are free to source a device from any retail provider as long as the device fits the requirements in the specification list.

Summerland has partnered with a technology provider, 'Learning with Technologies', to assist our families with competitive educational pricing. You can access this provider through the secure portal link below. The devices available for purchase have been selected to suit the specification list based on the educational advantage that this technology provides for student learning.
